Beyond the Veil - The 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost

The 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost sneaks into the new year with a velvety-smooth ride that leaves ripples wherever it goes. There are no other vehicles that speak to the power of silence like the Ghost. With endless power and only the finest of luxurious materials and features, drivers in Toronto and throughout Canada get more than they bargained for while Rolls-Royce's supposedly entry-level sedan.

What's New for 2022

A Black Badge model was added to the Ghost lineup for the 2022 model year. This variant adds darkened exterior trimmings, hand-polished and high-gloss paintwork, black wood interior trim, and more. It is highly customisable, just like all Rolls-Royce models.

Models and Pricing

While the 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost is available in two model variations, Ghost and Black Badge, the truth is that there is no singular pattern that the vehicle follows. Rolls-Royce offers more than just a car; it offers an experience. With Rolls-Royce Bespoke, drivers can craft a vehicle that is hand-made to order exclusively for them.

However, if a "basic" Ghost model is chosen, it will cost drivers around $343,000 and include a list of high-tech features that are a mile long. With another mile-long list of available additional features and customisations, the Ghost can become whatever you want it to be.

Performance

The 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost is built with a 6.7-litre V12 engine that delivers 592 horsepower in combination with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Hitting 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds showcases, the Ghost features a smooth yet powerful ride with sharp steering and incredible handling.

Driving dynamics were improved for the 2022 model year thanks to Rolls-Royce adding an all-wheel-steering system and 50/50 weight distribution. It drives like a whisper in the wind, zipping past before onlookers even knew it was there.

Design

Opulence is the name of the game for the 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost thanks to the high-quality materials used throughout the construction, such as thick carpet, real wood, finely grained leather, and metal accents. Drivers and front-seat passengers are surrounded by luxury, but the real space to be is in the rear. With miles of legroom, an entertainment system, massaging seats, and more, those who opt to ride in the Ghost instead of drive it get the best seat in the house.

Technology and Safety

At its price point, the 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost should include all the high-tech features, and it does. A large infotainment touchscreen with in-dash navigation is mounted in the dashboard, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bespoke stereo system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included. A dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system allows passengers to change the radio station, input new destinations into the navigation, and more.

Driver-assistance features such as automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control are all standard on the 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost.
